About Us
Welcome to the University of Westminster Hindu Society! We are a vibrant community dedicated to promoting cultural awareness, spirituality, and active engagement in community service. Our society is a place for students to come together to celebrate, learn about, and experience the rich traditions and values of Hindu culture.
Why should you join?
Students at the University of Westminster have the opportunity to join the Hindu Society if they wish to be part of a group of individuals who are passionate about learning more about the religion and culture. This society is a safe and open environment for group discussions about Hinduism and a place to partake in enjoyable activities with like-minded people and perhaps even make some new friends. All students who practice the religion, or even individuals at the university who have an interest or curiosity toward Hinduism are welcome to join.
Join UsNHSF Affiliation
We are proud to be affiliated with the National Hindu Students' Forum (NHSF), a collaboration that enables us to bring even more exciting events, workshops, and activities to our members. This partnership enhances our ability to provide a diverse range of opportunities for personal growth, spiritual enrichment, and cultural celebration.
What are some of our activities?
We will be hosting religious debates, opportunities to learn more about Hinduism from citable sources (holy books), traditional and cultural practices (prayers, traditional dances, and games), and discussions on how regional variations are related to slight variations in belief. Our society will be an inclusive environment where members will be able to participate and express their thoughts on these matters while also learning or gaining more knowledge on Vedic scriptures. Individuals from other backgrounds and beliefs are also welcome to join if they are interested in learning about Hinduism and Vedic culture
